No baste quilting rail & ratcheting system
The Continuum II Quilting Frame saves you valuable time by eliminating the ordeal of basting. All the quilt layers are attached to their own rails, and then come together and on to the take-up rail as you quilt. Grace frames use locking ratchet ends on the rails to give you precise control over the tension of your fabric layers and has quick-toggle locks for immediate adjustments as needed. -

After waiting 3 months for the Continuum II frame to arrive and waiting for a technician to assemble it - we discovered that one of the most important parts of the frame assembly is made of plastic and it was already broken.
The part in question is the twist knob that locks/unlocks the rail that hold the quilt backing. Absolutely necessary and used often when advancing the quilt. Customer service offered to replace it for free, advised that my warranty was for one year and offered to quote me the cost of the part so I can budget for it when it's out of warranty. Wow - I was already thinking that this is going to be part that I will have to replace often.
The good news: The rest of the frame is made of sturdy metal, machined perfectly, every bolt/screw hole lined up perfectly. The printed assembly instructions were awesome! There was actually printed instructions (in English) along with decent diagrams for every step.
The only thing lacking in the instructions was how to set-up/align a long or mid-arm quilting machine. Thankfully the technician was well-versed in that so I highly recommend hiring a technician to either assemble your frame - or give it a once over before you use it!
