My name is Sandra Wilbourne and I'm from a small town in southern Virginia. My roots run deep in sewing and quilting as I come from a long line of seamstresses and quilters. My mother instilled the love of sewing and quilting in me at an early age. I was nine years old when she encouraged me to make my first quilt. I am so thrilled to now be able to share my love of quilting with my granddaughters, who have recently shown an interest in the craft. It is my hope that they will carry on the tradition of quilting that has long been a part of my family.

My passion for sewing and quilting has grown over the years. I absolutely love the entire process of quilting from selecting fabric, cutting and piecing, to machine quilting. I've even learned to like binding, though it's still my least favorite part of the process. I love using The Grace Company's "Quilters Creative Touch 4 with Quilt Motion" computerized quilting program to complete my quilts.

I am blessed to have an amazing husband who has always been supportive of me and who affectionately refers to me as "The Midnight Quilter" because of the late hours I spend in my sewing room creating what I hope will someday become a treasured heirloom for some member of my family.

I enjoy learning anything and everything related to quilting and I look forward to sharing new and exciting quilting ideas and techniques with each of you.
