When we decided to make a cutting system as part of The Grace Company, we all agreed that it needed to be Safer, Easier to use, and Accurate.
I've been using rotary cutters and mats since they first started getting popular in the mid 1970's. They really make cutting layers of fabric easier, but I have always had a couple of pet-peeves about them.
Old Rotary Cutting Pet-Peeves
• The rulers are always sliding and then you go off the line you need to be following, or worse, go across the ruler and accidentally cut your finger. (I've heard too many stories.)
• My second pet-peeve is the collection of rotary blades that I have collected over time, and that they are so expensive.
Now with all that input, let me tell you about...

TrueGrips and Non-Slip Pads
TrueGrips are little rings that go on the bottom of your rulers to keep them from sliding around. They are made of silicon, and will not damage your fabric. You can use every bit of the trugrips. You can use the little tiny dots for small rulers, use the large rings for larger rulers, and even use the left-over sheet for the bottom of your foot pedal. I've already made a blog post about these TrueGrips, you can see it here.

The Non-Slip Pads are some more wonderful items. They come in three sizes, and they fit underneath your cutting mats to keep them from sliding around (which is very nice if you are trying to use a larger mat on a kitchen table, or other areas were the mat slides easy.) They make it a safer cutting surface.

TrueCut Rulers
The TrueCut rulers now come in wonderful new sizes and shapes. They also have a lip on each side (called the ruler track) for TrueCut rotary cutters to follow and stay straight. They also have special markings, some are 1/4 inch marks, and the basic angles used for quilting. They also have marking holes for marking your fabric directly through ruler to center or line up your fabric.
This picture shows you the raised portions of the ruler that the TrueCut cutter follows. This helps you make straighter cuts (and makes it much safer).
Rotary Cutters
The "My Comfort Cutter" has an ergonomic handle for better comfort and ease, which is especially nice if you have any wrist problems. It also has the cutter guide that fits over the edge of our rulers to help stay on track and cut straight. This guide can be removed if you want to use it on a normal ruler that doesn't have the TrueCut ruler track, but is still nice to have as a safety feature. You can also customize the handle of this cutter with your own photos, designs, or fabric (great for quilting classes!).

Cutting Mats
Our cutting mats are self-healing and double-sided for extended use. You can purchase these in three different sizes, and they can be used with our Non-Slip Pads.

TrueCut Sharpeners
I think the linear sharpener is great during a project where you do not want to have to stop and remove your cutter's blade to sharpen it. It has a long sharpening stone on one side. You run the cutter back and forth about 20 times against the stone, then rotate it and do the same on the other side.

If you really want to sharpen a blade fast and easy, our TrueSharp electric sharpener will do both sides of the blade at once, with the push of a button. It will extend the life of your blade. No sharpener can make you blade like factory new again, but this one comes close and gives you longer usage of your blade (which is nice because I have LOTS of old blades!). This works on many brand blades, of 28mm, 45mm, and 60mm.
You can now purchase blades in packages from us! They are only available in 45mm right now, but more sizes are coming soon.

And last but not least, is our
TrueCut Crafting Table
This is great for anybody, even if you only have a little space for projects in your home. It has legs that are height adjustable, it includes shelves for convenient storage, and you can set it up in three sizes. When it is folded in its smallest size, it can be pushed out of the way for storage.

Here is a great testimonial we received from Connie in Virgina:
"I've bought every blade sharpener that has come along over the years and I've never been satisfied with the result. If they worked at all, the blade only stayed sharp for a short time and it was frequently very hard to use or time-consuming. The TrueSharp Power Sharpener is incredible! It is very easy to use, does the job quickly and the blades stay sharp for a long time, like a new blade. I belong to 2 quilt groups and we make many quilts to give away. I let my friends sharpen their blades when we get together. They are loving their "new" blades. One of my friends said it even felt better when she cut. The price may seem steep; but, considering the cost of replacement blades, you get your money back quickly."
