Ruth Hawkins and her husband Paul have been coming to The Grace for a number of years, first with hand quilting and then for machine quilting. I first met Ruth when she came to take a machine quilting class at The Grace Company, and she has been a wonderful friend since. She has done many, many quilts for humanitarian services and given much of her time. She came down to see us today  and brought some of her quilts.

The rose pattern came in a box of scraps she found on our doorstep. It was made for a great granddaughter who's sister was burned in a fire. It was done on a pinnacle Quilting frame. One of the blue quilts pictured here uses a pattern picked out by her grandson. The other is a bedspread. She visits the Grace Company often and shows us her pretty quilts.
