Choosing a Machine Frame

Choosing a machine frame that's right for you

Before choosing a frame, it is best to learn which features are most important for you and the projects you do. No matter your quilting needs, there is a GraceFrame that’s right for you. Here are some key questions to ask yourself when choosing a frame:

• Project Size:

Will your projects ever include a king size quilt? All GraceFrames allow for queen size quilts and smaller, but only the top of the line will extend to king size.

• Sewing Machine Size:

All of our frames will accommodate any short-arm and mid-arm machines with up to a 13” throat. If you have a long-arm, or may upgrade to a long arm in the future, consider the Majestic, Pinnacle, or GMQ-Pro frames.

• Fourth rail:

Traditional rail frames have three rails for your quilt layers. Having a fourth rail lets you get your batting off the floor, keeping it clean and easier to manage.

• Adjustability:

Do you need a frame with leveling feet or height adjustable legs? Some of our frames also have the ability to fold up to save space, even with the fabric still installed.

• Build material:

Would you prefer a frame made from strong aluminium or steel? Or a more traditional frame, beautifully crafted from Baltic Birch wood?

Keep these questions in mind as you review our line of fine quality machine quilting frames.
